The project "A Biscuit for Africa," in partnership with Tecla Onlus, the Municipality of Arezzo, Fraternita dei Laici, and local schools, involves an event for selling homemade cookies. This project was created to support the construction of a school in Uganda.
The project supported and organised a contest aimed at primary school children, inviting them to bring sweets and cookies prepared at home with their parents. A jury composed of local school principals, chefs, representatives of the Institutions, and entrepreneurs, along with the families, judged the tastiness of the cookies and selected the winning child. The proceeds from the contest were donated to the construction of an elementary school in Mozambique.
The purpose of the project was to raise awareness among families and children about different realities from their own and to concretely support humanitarian projects in Africa.
